On December 9th, at the initiative of the Social Studies Subcommittee of the “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” Educational Complex, a meeting was organized in the senior school library with specialists from the State Non-Commercial Organization “Research Centre of Historical and Cultural Heritage” of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia: Arman Nalbandyan, Anna Torosyan and Mher Khechoyan.

Because of rescue, scientific, and restoration excavations, tens of structures are discovered every year in the Republic of Armenia. They are also discovered thanks to professional surveys and calls from citizens.
Study
Known and newly discovered structures – architectural, archaeological, historical, artistic, etc. – are studied in detail by the researchers of the Scientific Research Center in the form of scientific expeditions before receiving the status of a monument.
Document
The structures that have received the status of monuments, after the studies and comparison with the relevant standards, are registered and taken under state protection.
Restore
The restoration of historical and cultural immovable monuments, as well as archaeological findings, have been one of the priorities of the Scientific Research Center since its foundation.
Protect
The approach of the Scientific Research Center to the preservation of monuments is as follows: “To preserve the monument in the present, ensuring its future.”
Popularize
The popularization of the historical and cultural heritage by various means is one of the priority directions of the Scientific Research Center. We are sure that the citizen who knows the monument and loves it is the best guarantee of the protection of the monument.
