The rescue and exploration excavations carried out in 2025 by the expedition of the Scientific Research Centre of Historical and Cultural Heritage (head of the expedition: A. Nalbandyan) in the city-fortress of Lore yielded interesting and significant results.

Initiated by the diocese of Vayots Dzor and with the permission of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, from May 27 to June 6, 2025, an expedition from the Scientific Research Centre of Historical and Cultural Heritage, led by Meri Safaryan, conducted excavations within the semi-underground burial structure of the Holy Mother of God church (Burtelashen) at the Noravank Monastery (built in 1339).

Since October 15, 2024, within the framework of the program for strengthening and restoring the outbuildings, excavations began in the Tap fortress.

According to the alert received in February 2024, a tomb hollowed out in the rock was discovered as a result of earthworks being carried out in the area owned by a citizen in the Ohanavan community of Aragatsotn region, RA.
