Practical Training for Students of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia at Our Research Center

From February to June 2026, students of the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia underwent practical training in the laboratories of the Department of Archaeological Artifact Restoration at the Research Center of Historical and Cultural Heritage. First-year master’s students from the “Decorative and Applied Arts (Ceramics)” educational program, part of the Faculty of Design and Decorative and Applied Arts, participated in this training.
As part of the course “Study, Conservation, Restoration, and Preservation of Ceramic and Glass Objects,” students Arev Arakelyan, Mariam Arakelyan, and Mher Najaryan applied the theoretical knowledge they studied in the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year (lecturer A. Melkonyan).
During the practical sessions, the students investigated ceramic artifacts from the archaeological collection of the Research Center of Historical and Cultural Heritage from historical, cultural, and technical-technological perspectives. They demonstrated a professional approach, carrying out restoration and conservation work while considering the unique characteristics of each object.
