Professional Visit to the Restoration Department

First-year Master’s students of the Department of Theory, History, and Heritage of Architecture at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, within the “Restoration of Architectural Heritage” educational program, accompanied by lecturer N. Kalantaryan, made an introductory visit to the Restoration Department of Archaeological Finds at the Scientific Research Centre of Historical and Cultural Heritage.
The students were introduced to the work of the Restoration Department of Archaeological Finds, its laboratories, methods for studying, strengthening, and restoring movable monuments of history and culture, as well as the research and analytical equipment and available technical and technological means.
During the visit, the specific challenges, similarities, and differences in the study and restoration interventions applicable to immovable and movable monuments were discussed.
