From November 18 to 21, 2025, a scientific and practical course, “Conservation and Presentation of Fabrics,” was held. It was organized jointly by the Research Centre for Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture of the Republic of Armenia and the French National Heritage Institute. The course was designed for restorers and custodians of fabric collections from various scientific and cultural institutions in Armenia.
The course was taught by fabric restorers and conservators, specialists in the preventive conservation of textile objects, Patricia Dal-Pra and Talia Bouzid (France).
During the four-day active scientific-practical training, about 15 restorers-specialists and fund keepers from the Scientific Research Centre for Historical and Cultural Heritage, the History Museum of Armenia, the National Museum of Armenian Ethnography and the History of the Liberation Struggle, the Hovhannes Sharambeyan Museum of Folk Arts, and other centres became familiar with the types of fabrics, modern means of their preservation, packaging methods necessary for transportation, and auxiliary materials used in French museums.
The training concluded with warm and mutual words of gratitude from the trainers and participants, as well as words of thanks to the organizers for the opportunity and hospitality.
