On May 31, 2023, in cooperation with the Scientific Research Center of Historical and Cultural Heritage and the History Museum of Armenia, the temporary exhibition “The Forgotten Kingdom: Verin Naver (Upper Ships)”, was opened at the History Museum of Armenia.
The exhibition includes many examples of spiritual and secular authority
found in the tombs of the elite of Verin Naver. Among them were luxuries
made of precious metals. There were stones and symbols of power: weapons, seals, bridles, medallions with busts, and much more. In the Verin Naver (Upper Ships) cemetery, which existed for about one and a half millennium (XXIII-VII centuries BC), about 500 tombs have been preserved, forming one of the most extensive cemeteries of the Ancient East.
